Biography
Jinhu Wang is an Assistant Professor in Emory University School of Medicine. He received his PhD in Developmental Biology in Chinese Academy of Science. He got his postdoctoral research training in Dr. Kenneth Poss’s Lab at Duke University. His broad research goal is to understand how regenerative responses to injury have been optimized in non-mammalian vertebrates like zebrafish, to discover new targets that underline the regenerative deficiencies in mammals. In the past several years, his work was focused on investigating regenerative biology of two major adult cardiac tissues: the myocardium and the epicardium.
